Back to school season is here, and for a lot of families, it’s also the moment they realize they need to make a move. 🏡
Maybe the commute to school is longer than it should be. Maybe you’re in a district that doesn’t feel right for your kids anymore. Or maybe you’ve been putting off the conversation about upsizing because life just kept moving.
This time of year has a way of making those decisions feel urgent, and honestly, it should. Homes in strong school districts across Jackson County and the Irish Hills move fast, especially when families start searching in the fall.
Here’s what I tell every parent who reaches out this time of year:
Don’t just look at the school rating. Visit the building. Talk to people in the neighborhood. The right district for your family isn’t always the one with the highest score online.
Know the boundary lines before you fall in love with a house. Two streets apart can mean two completely different districts. I know where those lines fall across Jackson, Lenawee, and Hillsdale counties, and I’ll make sure you do too.
Act before the rush. Fall is one of the best times to buy, and the families who start now have more options than the ones who wait until spring.
If a new school year has your family thinking about a new home, let’s talk.
