Curtain Up at The Vision Theatre 🎭

After 15 years of restoration and renovation, the historic has reopened its doors in Los Angeles’ Leimert Park—the heart of Black arts, entertainment, and culture.

Originally built in 1932, the and Spanish Colonial Revival landmark has been transformed into a modern performing arts center while preserving the decorative details that make it extraordinary.

EverGreene 's work focused on bringing the historic auditorium back to life—from conserving Anthony Heinsbergen’s dramatic ceiling mural and repairing historic plaster to recreating decorative finishes, stenciling, and Dutch metal on the walls and proscenium.

Now, nearly a century after its debut, the Vision Theatre is ready for a new generation of performances and audiences.

Back to St. Louis: Restoring A Landmark ✨

Work has begun on the approximately 100,000-square-foot Richard Haas mural covering the historic Edison Brothers Building—a landmark work of architectural illusionism that EverGreene originally painted in 1984.

Constructed by JC Penney in 1928–29 and later owned by Edison Brothers Stores, the former warehouse is currently undergoing a redevelopment by Midas Hospitality and MBG with plans to reopen as the Sheraton St. Louis Downtown in fall 2027.

Now, as crews prepare to restore the landmark mural for the first time since its completion, EverGreene is returning for an extensive two-year restoration, helping preserve Haas’s vision and a remarkable piece of St. Louis’ public art and history.

There’s something especially meaningful about restoring work we helped create more than 40 years ago. We look forward to sharing the transformation as this monumental project progresses.

Wrapping Up At The Illinois State Capitol 🏛️

Since 2022, our team has restored the iconic interior decorative finishes in more than 100 rooms and public spaces in the Capitol's North Wing, building on over two decades of preservation work at the Capitol.

Guided by historic documentation and finishes investigations, EverGreene reinstated intricate hand-painted decoration, faux marbling, stenciling, gilding, and glazing—reviving the richness and character of the significant interiors.

As this major chapter of the Capitol’s restoration approaches completion, we’re proud to have worked with Vinci | Hamp Architects and the Illinois Capital Development Board to preserve the artistry and craftsmanship of one of Illinois’ most important civic landmarks.

Workshop at Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin

Frank Lloyd Wright believed in learning by doing, a philosophy that shaped generations of architects and craftspeople at —his home, studio, and living laboratory. Participants can experience a modern interpretation of the hands-on education once shared by more than 1,000 apprentices and architects who trained there.

For EverGreene, the workshop also highlights something central to Wright’s architecture: the extraordinary attention he gave to materials and finishes.

Our restoration work at and the required close study of Wright’s historic plaster systems—from matching the composition and exposed aggregate of the plaster to recreating the subtle, translucent washes that allowed its texture to remain part of the finished surface.
