My story isn’t over yet. My name is Brandon Smith and I am 53 years old. I am a recovered alcoholic and drug addict with over 10 years of sobriety. I am eternally grateful for this opportunity to represent Team USA in Brazil in the Kung Fu World Champion,but more importantly, I need to remind myself how important it is for me to tell myself that I am worthy of this opportunity. To overcome depression, suicidal thoughts, anxiety and PTSD and still be able to rise above and conquer my mental health on a daily basis to achieve my goals and dreams has been 100% a challenge.
