💦 Bringing a Water Sample to Pool Masters?

For the most accurate water test:

🧪 Collect your sample 12–18 inches below the surface
🧴 Use a clean container—no chemical residue!
🌞 Keep the sample cool and out of direct sunlight
⏰ Bring it to Pool Masters within an hour of collecting it.

Samples older than 1 hour may give inaccurate chlorine and pH readings.

Fresh sample = more accurate results = better pool care! 💙🏊‍♀️

When to start closing pools in Northeast Arkansas, we generally recommend closing your pool in early to mid-October, once water temperatures have dropped to around 60–65°F. We don't recommend closing too early while the water is still warm, because that can increase the risk of algae growth under the cover.

If you’re considering a new liner in the spring, please let us know before we close the pool. We can take the measurements before closing so we have everything ready to order your liner early in the spring and avoid unnecessary delays when you’re ready to open.

🧪 Pool Tip: How Long Do Chlorine Tablets Last?
Properly stored 3-inch chlorine tablets can typically last 2–3 years. The key is how you store them!
✅ Keep tablets in their original, tightly sealed container
✅ Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area
✅ Keep away from heat, sunlight, moisture & other pool chemicals
✅ Use FIFO (first in, first out) if you have extra inventory
🚫 Never mix different types of chlorine or store chlorine next to incompatible chemicals.
When stored properly, your chlorine tablets will stay effective longer and perform the way they should! 💦

FUN FACT FRIDAY
During the hottest part of summer, pools can change quickly between weekly services. To help keep your pool clear between visits, we recommend:

• Brush the walls and steps regularly 3-5 weeks
• Run your pool 3-5 times a week
• Empty the skimmer and pump baskets daily or as needed
• Keep the water level at the proper height
• Make sure your pump is running and circulating properly
• Check the pool after heavy rain or lots of swimming

Weekly service helps maintain the pool, but conditions like extreme heat, rain, and heavy use can cause the water to change before the next visit. A little care between services can make a big difference.
