We get asked all the time: What's the difference between a saltwater pool and a traditional chlorine pool? 🤔 Let's clear up the confusion!

🧂 SALTWATER POOLS
A saltwater pool STILL uses chlorine! A salt chlorine generator converts dissolved salt into chlorine to sanitize your water.

💙 Typically offers:
✔️ Softer-feeling water for many swimmers
✔️ More consistent chlorine production when properly sized and maintained
✔️ Less frequent handling of chlorine products
✔️ Higher upfront cost for the salt system and eventual cell replacement

💧 TRADITIONAL CHLORINE POOLS
These pools use chlorine added manually or through an automatic chemical feeder.

💙 Typically offers:
✔️ Lower upfront equipment costs
✔️ Easy and straightforward maintenance
✔️ More control over chlorine additions
✔️ Regular monitoring and replenishment of chlorine

🤔 SO, WHICH ONE IS BETTER?

Did you know that brushing your pool regularly helps keep it pristine—not just clear? 🧹✨

Here in Northeast Arkansas, our heat, storms, pollen, and debris can put pools to the test!

👉 Brush your pool 1–2 times a week and pay extra attention to steps, corners, walls, tanning ledges, and other areas where circulation may be weaker.

💡 Pro Tip: After heavy rain, extreme heat, or lots of swimming, your pool may need a little extra TLC!

Clear water is great… a truly clean pool is even better! 💦

Due to the intense heat, please check your pool water level frequently.
Normal evaporation can cause a pool to lose ¼ to ½ inch of water per day, but with temperatures like we've been experiencing, evaporation can be much greater.
💧 Why does it matter? If your pool water level gets too low, the skimmer can begin pulling in air, which may cause your pump to lose prime, run dry, overheat, or potentially become damaged.
👉 Keep your water level at least halfway up the skimmer opening and add water as needed.
A little attention now can help prevent an expensive pump repair or pump replacement later! 🔧🏊‍♂️
