Its been a while since I posted on this design study. I bit off when I tackled this. Developing and modeling this project in Sketchup has been a challenge since I do not use the program on a regular basis.

The basic model is complete, at least from an exterior viewpoint.

I have the horse arena/stalls and the main residence integrated in the same file. Major site stuff is in. Considering the scope of this there is still a lot of creative thinking that can yet be done.

A few more tweaks in sketchup, then to turn it into an integrated blog post with many notes.

Completed Sketchup massing model of main residence. Next step will be to integrate the stable in the same fil and add site elements. (roads, water, terraforming trees, etc.)

More recent work on the design study for the main residence. I wasted a bunch of time because I did not use best practices for extruding up the walls from plan (in Sketchup) so I ended up going back and all but recreate them.

Tedious.

With the comp[ex geometry fitting the roofs has been a special challenge.

Done for the night.
