Mills Construction is proud to be a Build Dakota Scholarship industry partner and to invest directly in students choosing careers in construction.
We’ve seen firsthand the value of giving young people the opportunity to earn a degree, gain hands-on experience, and begin a rewarding career in the skilled trades—without the burden of student debt. Congratulations to the 618 scholarship recipients! We’re excited to see the next generation of builders get to work building South Dakota. 💪

These 618 scholars represent the future of South Dakota. When we invest in students, we create opportunity for them to succeed, and South Dakota grows right alongside them. I am grateful for T. Denny Sanford’s leadership and foresight to help launch this program. More than a decade later, we see that vision at work across our state. This year’s scholars are the next chapter of his remarkable legacy.

🦷 Madison Family Dental Update
The finish line is in sight! Exterior finishes are nearly complete, while cabinetry, lighting, tile, flooring, and dental equipment are quickly coming together inside.
Months of hard work are paying off—great craftsmanship by our team and subcontractors! 👏

🔬 Brookings High School Science Labs Renovation Update
Big progress on a fast-moving project! Demo is complete, new walls and drywall are going up, rough-ins are moving ahead, and corridor finishes are underway.

With school starting August 25, the team is pushing hard to have the corridors ready on schedule. Great planning by Matt and great ex*****on by everyone involved—keep it up! 💪

The finish line is in sight! Cabinets, countertops, tile, fixtures, lighting, and more are coming together as Keegan and the crew keep the project on track.
