The best time to enjoy a mature shade tree is years from now—which makes today a great time to plant one. 🌳

Trees provide shade, beauty, wildlife habitat, and long-term value for your property. Whether you're looking to enhance your landscape or create a cooler outdoor space, the right tree can make a lasting impact.

🌞 Hot weather plant tip!

The best time to water your plants is early in the morning, when cooler temperatures allow the roots to absorb moisture before the heat of the day arrives.

If mornings aren't possible, watering in the evening is the next best option. During periods of extreme heat, some plants may even benefit from both a morning and evening watering if they're showing signs of stress.

If you notice leaves wilting or plants looking stressed during the hottest part of the day, it's okay to give them some water—but be sure to water at the base of the plant, not the foliage. This helps the water reach the roots where it's needed most while reducing unnecessary evaporation.

If you're unsure whether your landscape is getting enough water during this heat wave, we're always here to answer your questions. 📞 262-821-9680

🌞 Looking for plants that can handle the summer heat?

Some landscape plants are naturally more drought-tolerant once established, making them excellent choices during hot, dry weather. Consider adding varieties like:
🌿 Russian Sage
🌿 Prairie Dropseed
🌿 Yucca
🌿 Lavender
🌿 Agastache
🌿 Gaillardia
🌿 Lamb's Ear
🌿 Blue Fescue
🌿 Sedum

Even heat-tolerant plants appreciate proper watering, especially during extended dry spells. Water early in the morning whenever possible, add a layer of organic compost and mulch to help retain moisture, and remember we're always happy to answer your landscaping questions. 📞 262-821-9680
