Did I mention how I got reconnected to this Trekkie at the astronomical convention in OH? He’s an astrophysicist who studies gravitational waves of black holes!!
My favorite subject! I showed him this picture of my painting and he had never heard of Galaxy AM. 1054.

I told him it looked like the Enterprise and he said yeah you can’t un see that.

He is now the proud owner of that painting up at Clarkson University!!!!

Soooo… I go to a national astronomical convention last week and run into this guy!!! Met him in 2017 in Casper for 2017 Great American Eclipse and we picked up where we left off!

Dr Shane Larson PhD astrophysicist and astronomer main subject being galaxies and black holes!

Trekkies both so that kept the convention fun. Showed him my pairing that I think looks like the enterprise but it’s called Galaxy AM 1054 a galaxy torn apart from an interaction with another galaxy.

He had never seen this so it was mind blowing to tell him something he didn’t know.

So it’s on its way to Clarkson University astrophysics dept!!!

Three new books came in and were added to the other titles from Desert Byrne and Cicada & Co., and all put in a brand new display!

The top one is botany plants found in the different biomes here in OK. And there are baby name books as well just below.

Just need markers, crayons or colored pencils!

There are three Christmas themed books which will be back again this fall.

Submitted this for the Arts 302 Destination community art exhibit.

This is called, Milky Way at Camp Wesumkee, Big Pine, FL and it had to have a song attached so I choose KoKoMo by the Beach Boys…

Exhibit will be in September and this piece is for sale for $150.00.

522 pieces from 36 countries participated and I was notified of my honorable mention for these four.

Husband made this bandsaw box with hidden drawers. The wood was not the quality he would normally use but it came from the class at Woodcraft in Tulsa.

Staining made the ends with the crosswise sawed threads look really bad.

So as you know, paint covers a multitude of sin… I mean issues LOL!

But then husband is blown away by the strategically placed insects and reptiles. Daughter sent me photos of what is found there species wise so she was a key factor in making this so special.

Did I mention Mr H has his degrees in botany and biology?
