This is dry ice blasting.

No sand. No soda. No water.

Just dry ice that turns to gas on impact and lifts grease, grime, and buildup off the surface. We’ve been testing it and it’s legit—especially for detailed work where you don’t want to risk damage.

At ACD Blasting, most of what we do is still good old-fashioned media blasting.

Frames, suspension parts, sheet metal—we strip things down to clean bare material so you can actually see what you’re working with.

No guessing. No covering up problems.

We’ve added dry ice blasting to the shop.

Same idea as blasting… but without the mess, water, or media cleanup. It’s been really impressive on engines, wiring, and anything you don’t want to tear apart just to clean.

If you’ve got something delicate or just don’t want media getting everywhere, this might be the better option.

We’re excited to officially add Dry Ice Blasting to the services offered at ACD Blasting.

This gives us another option for cleaning and surface prep—especially on projects where traditional media blasting may be too aggressive or too messy.

Dry ice blasting works great for:
• Engine bays
• Undercarriages
• Wiring and electrical areas
• Delicate or hard-to-reach components
• Industrial equipment and machinery

No water. No leftover blasting media. Just a clean surface without tearing everything apart.

We’ll still continue offering our standard media blasting services every day, but this gives us another tool when the job calls for it.

Glenn Pray's custom roadster pickup was in the 1961 January issue of How To Hop-Up Your Engine. He used his custom for running parts at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Co. It had always been a desire of Glenn's for it to be restored. We are excited to be a part of the process of restoring his roaster pickup to its former glory!
