"If you want to go fast, go by yourself. If you want to go far, go together." Soooo blessed to be part of this and extremely proud of my team! First real big (to me) job in the books. Historical chimney make safe. Cut and point bottom 30'. The top, well that changed when the engineer could actually get up there. The inside of the chimney is severely deteriorated and will be addressed at a later date. But we had the privilege of working around that and an active daycare underneath. We take safety very seriously and it is our top priority. With lots of protection and harnesses we were able to safely remove concrete cap and 16 courses of brick without dropping a single one into the chimney or down below. Did some masonry repairs to maintain structural integrity before cap installation.
