Farmstand refresh!

Fresh cut flowers are out today and they are giving all the end-of-summer color. These were grown right here at Pinehurst, cut fresh, and tucked into simple little arrangements for your table, kitchen counter, or to bring to someone who needs a little beauty today.

We also have tomatoes out while they last.

Mums will be arriving next week, and our next Plant Bingo will be Friday night, 9/25.

Self-serve farmstand is open today.

Coal needs a job.

Yesterday’s vet expense was hard, but this boy is worth every bit of it. We are so thankful for vet and the thorough care they always give our animals.

I truly can’t imagine life without him, or our time together being cut unfairly short. I feel a physical pain in my stomach just thinking about it.

For now, it’s lots of rest, a special diet, and meds for a GI infection and pancreatitis. He should be feeling better soon and back at the farm before long, greeting all of you, especially as the weather cools. He’s more homebound during the summer months, but spring and fall are Coal’s seasons to be up.

And if you know me, you know I’ll be researching the why, the how, and what we can do better from here.

Maybe “Tubby Muffin” dog treat workshops will be in the future.

From the garden beds, to the tailgate, to the farmstand… IYKYK. 😉

Fresh cut flower arrangements are here!

Paper cup bouquets are $6 each or 2 for $10. They fit perfectly in your cup holders, making them an easy little pick-me-up to take along for the ride.

Glass jar bouquets are $15 each and are a little fuller. Don’t forget to grab the lid!

All of these blooms were grown here at Pinehurst, many from seed and each variety was hand chosen for a reason. That is why you find different colors, textures, and seasonal beauty.

Your purchases, likes, comments, shares, and words of recommendation truly keep us going and allow us to continue growing this little place we love so much. 🥰

Thank you for supporting what we grow here.🌱✨♥️

We will be replenishing with tomatoes and veggies tomorrow morning.

September is here.

It’s such a beautiful month, and one I really do love, but it can also feel SO FULL. Full of excitement, new routines, after-school activities, classroom changes, end-of-summer blooms, mums, Halloween already popping up in stores, and those days that suddenly feel shorter because it’s getting dark earlier.

Yoga classes are also starting to fill a little earlier in the week than later, which makes sense. I think our bodies start to crave that slowdown and connection at this time of year.

Our personal/family calendar is filling up, and I’ve been working behind the scenes on Pinehurst activities, workshops, and some shopping pop-up ideas for fall.

There’s a lot of unknown in September, but there is also so much beauty in it.

We still have some availability in September and into November for kids’ birthday parties, showers, private garden experiences, workshops, and small celebrations.

So here is your little September reminder: yes, it’s a full month, but it’s not too late to create something beautiful together.

Farmstand update! 🌸

Fresh flower bouquets are stocked and ready for you! Every bloom was grown right here at Pinehurst and gathered straight from the garden.

Planted these tomatoes from seed… and here we are, going into September, FINALLY getting red tomatoes. 😂🍅

I’ve watered them, fed them organically, trimmed them, staked them up, and watched every green tomato hanging on these plants.

But I wasn’t worried. I knew they would ripen in their own time.

And just like the 90s said it best…

FINALLY. 🎶🍅😂

Sometimes the garden just makes you wait.

Anyone else still waiting on their tomatoes to turn red?! 🍅🙋‍♀️

Farmstand update! 🌻🍅

Fresh-cut flower bouquets and tomatoes are at the farmstand!

Fall is coming, and in the next few weeks we’ll start bringing out mums and some of our fall favorites. But for right now, we’re letting these late-summer flower blooms be the star. And they are showing off. ❤️

So many of these flowers were started from seed right here at Pinehurst, and I’m soaking up every last bit of them before the season starts to change.

Stop by the self-serve farmstand and grab some flowers for your table and tomatoes for dinner. 🌸🍅

This past weekend, Pinehurst was the backdrop as a beautiful family showered a soon-to-be bride with the sweetest garden tea party. 🌿🫖🤍

Working with and meeting families from our community, then seeing them come into this place, relax, celebrate and soak up the gardens and growing spaces is such a humbling feeling. I don’t know if I’ll ever quite find the right words for it.

So much love and work has gone into Pinehurst over the years, and seeing it filled with people celebrating some of life’s biggest moments is really special.

Congratulations to the whole family, and Molly - you looked absolutely stunning! 🤍

If you’re looking for a unique garden experience to add an intimate and personal touch to your celebration, reach out to us. We would love to help you create something special here at Pinehurst.

Ummm… this is the smallest little gray tree frog I have ever seen. 🥹🐸

And yes, he’s GREEN! Gray tree frogs can actually change color depending on their surroundings, and this little guy is basically the exact color of the zucchini. 😂💚 Talk about camouflage!

Yeah buddy!!! You can stay. Help us with the bugs! We need all the help we can get around here. 😅

Just another day finding the coolest little things in the garden. 🌿
