Summer Plumbing Tip: Check Your Outdoor Faucets! 🚰

With summer in full swing, your outdoor faucets are working harder than ever.
Whether you’re watering the lawn, washing the car, or filling up the kiddie pool.

Take a few minutes to inspect your outdoor spigots and hose connections for any leaks, drips, or pooling water.

Even a small leak can waste hundreds of gallons of water over the course of the season.

✅ Check for dripping when the faucet is turned off
✅ Look for cracks around the faucet or hose connection
✅ Inspect hoses for wear and damage

Catching a minor issue early can help prevent water waste down the road!

🌧️ HEAVY RAIN IN COLORADO? YOUR SUMP PUMP MATTERS MORE THAN YOU THINK.

Here in Brighton and along the Front Range, these sudden storms and heavy rain, this can overwhelm your home fast.

🚨 WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
• Pump running nonstop
• Strange noises (grinding or clicking)
• Water or damp spots in your basement
• Musty smells or high humidity
• Sump pit not draining properly

🏔️COLORADO-SPECIFIC RISKS:
• Frozen discharge lines in winter
• Power outages during storms
• Slow-draining clay soil putting extra stress on your system

🛠️ PRO TIPS:
• Test your sump pump before storm season
• Make sure your discharge line is clear & extended away from your home
• Clean your sump pit annually
