Southwest Coatings is proud to have contributed to the construction of Kensington School's newest location in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood. Our scope of work spanned the full range of services – from fireproofing the building shell to final trim touchups in the beautiful classrooms.

Southwest is on the job at a new Kensington School in Bucktown. Our team is in the new building applying cementitious fireproofing to all three levels. Stay tuned as we share continued progress at the job site until their 2025 opening!

Southwest is proud to be part of the thoughtful repurposing of this historic Evanston building! The Varsity Theater served as one of Chicagoland's premier movie houses from 1926 to 1984. After a 40-year vacancy, the building is now home to 35 rental units and 10,000 sf of retail space.

Our work consisted of fireproofing columns, restoring original window frames, and painting units featuring 20' ceilings and original trusses!

Southwest did a little creative problem solving for a recent veterinary client! Total replacement wasn't in the cards, so our team strategically patched existing floor damage with coatings in shapes suited to this animal-friendly environment. 🐶🐱

We are always happy to partner with ARCO/Murray and this recent Schaumburg project is no exception! Our team painted the interiors as well as completed 22,000 sf of floor prep and rolled a sleek, durable epoxy coating.

Southwest Coating Services is putting the finishing touches on our latest project at The Terminal, a Chicago research facility for leaders in the science and technology fields. Located in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, The Terminal spans three historic buildings and 250,000 square feet. Built in 1916 by the Pyle-National Company, makers of lighting heavy machinery, The Terminal continues to serve as home to technology-driven innovators.

The Southwest team recently finished painting at this repurposed convent and Ravenswood’s newest apartment building. Located across the street from Our Lady of Lourdes, this century-old structure now houses 14 modern living spaces. Our expert craftsmen also painted outdoor railings, stairwells, hallways, and common spaces.
