PSA... Best practices for freeze protection and carbon monoxide awareness.

1- Do not set back your thermostats. Maintain 65 degrees or higher.

2 - Open cabinet doors for sinks on outside walls to allow the room heat inside.

3 - Slowly drip both Hot and Cold water faucets. Hot water will freeze before cold water.

4 - Cover drafty basement windows.

5 - Be sure to clear any snow away from the exhaust and intake pipes of high efficiency heating and hot water systems.

6 - When running portable generators be sure to keep them at least 10' away from the house, especially windows and doors.
