🕷️ Spider Lift vs. Bucket Truck – Round 2!

Yesterday, we featured our bucket truck and asked which machine our crews would choose.

The spider lift is our secret weapon when a bucket truck simply can’t go.

✅ Fits through narrow gates and tight spaces.
✅ Places less weight on delicate lawns and landscapes.
✅ Can work on uneven terrain with its adjustable outriggers.
✅ Gives us access to trees that would otherwise require extensive climbing.

So tell us…

👇 If you had to choose, are you Team Bucket Truck 🚛 or Team Spider Lift 🕷️?

Tomorrow hear directly from our crews which ones they prefer and why.

🌳 Bucket Truck vs Spider Lift 🌳

People often ask why we use a bucket truck on some properties and a spider lift on others. The answer comes down to one thing:

Using the safest and most efficient equipment for each individual job.

🚛 Bucket Trucks are ideal when:
• There is good access from a driveway or roadway.
• We need to move efficiently between multiple trees.
• The work requires reaching large sections of the canopy quickly.
• Heavy pruning or removals are being performed.

Tomorrow we will weigh in on the Spider Lift.

Which piece of equipment do you think our crews prefer? Drop a guess below! Allan Fernandez Velasquez seems content in the canopy with our Bucket truck!

One moment it was standing. The next, it was an emergency. Trees can develop hidden root decay, compromised root systems, or structural defects that aren't obvious from the outside. That's why routine assessments are one of the best investments you can make—not just for your landscape, but for the safety of your home and family. When in doubt, have it evaluated before nature makes the decision for you. 🌳

Some people see flower pots.

Stacey sees living art and science 🌿✨

Our owner’s passion for horticulture started years ago working at her local Farm and Home (now Ace Hardware Weston) greenhouse in Wisconsin — proof that you never know where a summer job might take you.

Today, that passion has grown into an illustrious career in horticulture, arboriculture, and plant health care. Customers especially appreciate the knowledge she brings during property walk-throughs, helping homeowners understand the “mini ecosystems” within their landscapes and providing recommendations for long-term beauty, health, and sustainability.

While custom planters are only a small part of what Northeast Horticultural Services does, plants and container design remain one of Stacey’s greatest passions. At home, she spends countless hours tending to her own personal collection of plants and creating beautiful arrangements simply because she loves it — a connection to the place where it all began years ago in that small-town greenhouse. 🌸

What was your very first summer job — and did it shape where you are today? 🌱

🌳 What Should Homeowners Be Doing for Their Trees in June? 🌳

June is one of the most important months for tree care in Connecticut! As temperatures rise and summer storms roll in, now is the time to focus on:

✔️ Inspecting for dead or hazardous limbs
✔️ Monitoring for insect & disease activity
✔️ Deep watering during dry stretches
✔️ Pruning storm-damaged branches
✔️ Mulching properly (not volcano mulching!)
✔️ Checking for trees growing too close to structures or power lines
✔️ Scheduling preventative plant health care treatments

Healthy trees don’t just happen — they require seasonal attention and proactive care.
If your property has trees that “just don’t look right,” now is the perfect time for an assessment before summer stress sets in. 🌿
