Martin Architects PC AIA
Established in 1998, Martin Architects provides licensed architectural and engineering services, interior design, and construction administration. The team offers the skills and experience of a large firm, while providing the personal service, motivation, and responsiveness associated with a boutique practice. Working on a broad range of historic to modernist projects, MA

has specialized in high-end residential design. Projects have been undertaken throughout New York State-including the Hamptons and New York City-as well as Connecticut, New Jersey and Costa Rica. The practice has long-standing working relationships with a wide range of skilled consultants on Long Island, and a record of delivering quality design and construction on time and within budget. Martin Architects does not limit designs to any single project type, preferring rather to tailor proposals to the unique requirements of individual clients and their project conditions. Nick Martin

NICK MARTIN, AIA, Principal has formed a versatile office that creatively responds to the aesthetic and technical demands required to conceive and realize large, small, residential, commercial, and pro bono projects. Nick maintains architectural, contracting and real estate licenses. He fulfills a commitment to community, arts, and cultural institutions through involvement in environmental and cultural committees: creating and running a pro bono artist studio, co-Chair of the Architectural Historic Review Board, Chair of the board of the Breakwater Yacht Club, Chair at the Long House reserve. Nick was introduced to the discipline of architecture at Harvard's undergraduate Architecture Discovery program, and honored with first design excellence. He then attended Pratt Institute, was awarded several traveling fellowships, and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He continued his professional experiences with Gwathmey Siegel, Gabellini Sheppard and Associates, and Wood and Zapata. Awarded projects include private residences for clients such as Michael Dell and Barbara Streisand, MTV Corporate Headquarters, Steuben Glass gallery/museum, various gallery spaces, and the New York flagship store for Nicole Farhi. In the Hamptons, Nick established Martin Architects focusing on high-end residential projects, retail, and gallery spaces. Subsequently, 4MA Builders was established as a sister company to ensure high quality construction of projects. He grew up in Buenos Aries, Argentina, Bogata Colombia, Greenwich, CT, London, England, Germany, Boston and New York City. Nick maintains painting and music recording studios in Sagaponack, NY. He has lectured on architecture at several associative schools and the Parish Art Museum. He is competitively involved in Yacht racing, rock climbing, tennis, and surfing and boasts a thriving family of five. Green
From inception, Martin Architects incorporates environmentally sensitive design materials and building methods into each of its projects. This involves the integration of energy efficient systems and design, geothermal, energy star practices, active and passive solar design, and the use of recycled and/or sustainable materials. MA maintains a membership with the US Green Building Council (USGBC).

Inspired by time spent at the breathtaking celestial pool at Italy’s Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel, this infinity pool and lower reflecting pool were designed to transform water into a sanctuary of movement, sound, and serenity. A submerged sunbathing platform invites quiet moments of immersion before the water seamlessly dissolves into the horizon, blurring the boundary between architecture, landscape, and sky.
