Chimney swifts are migrating into Western North Carolina and we thank all of our customers that allow the birds to nest and raise their young while they don’t use their chimney in the summer. Due to their population decline, Chimney Swifts are federally protected and can’t be removed once they start nesting. Close your damper and you won’t notice them, just a few peeps when the babies are little. In November the swifts migrate back to South America and we can clean your chimney for the burning season.
