Step 1: Plan and measure
- Find a wall with sturdy framing and space for a 36-inch high work surface. Use a stud finder to locate vertical studs and mark the center at the height you want the bench.

Step 2: Mount the brackets
- Align two heavy-duty folding brackets against the wall over your stud marks. Drill pilot holes, then drive in lag screws. Use a level to keep them perfectly horizontal; repeat for the second bracket.

Step 3: Prep the tabletop
- Choose a sturdy top (1.5-2 inches thick butcher block or double plywood). Sand edges smooth and pre-drill holes for attaching to brackets.

Step 4: Attach the table
- Place the tabletop on the brackets, center it, and ensure ample clearance when folded. Drive screws from the brackets into the underside of the top; use at least four screws per bracket.

Step 5: Test and finish
- Release the folding mechanism, fold the table toward the wall, then unfold it back out. Check for smooth operation and wobble. Add finishing touches (sand, seal with polyurethane) as desired.

Tip: Mark the swing path on the floor to avoid collisions when you move around the garage.

Upgrading your kitchen sink with a modern garbage disposal can dramatically speed up cleanup and reduce waste. Here's a homeowner-friendly, step-by-step guide inspired by Handydads to help you install a new disposal and keep a leak-free, quiet setup. Important: follow your unit's manual and consider hiring a licensed professional for electrical work if you're unsure.

Step 1: Pick a high-torque, quiet disposal. Look for features that handle tough scraps without clogging and keep noise down.
Step 2: Safety first — turn off power at the circuit breaker (and unplug the unit if possible).
Step 3: Remove the old disposal: place a bucket under the trap to catch water, disconnect the unit, and keep the workspace clean.
Step 4: Clean the sink drain area and prep the drain. Scrape away old sealant so the new fl**ge sits flush against the sink.
Step 5: Install the new sink fl**ge: apply a generous ring of plumbers putty around the underside of the fl**ge, press it into the sink opening, then install the fiber gasket, backup ring, and mounting ring. Tighten the bolts evenly until the fl**ge is level and the putty forms a watertight seal. Wipe away excess putty.
Step 6: Prep the disposal: remove the dishwasher knockout plug if your setup has one, and connect the power cord according to the manufacturer diagram. Use a cable clamp to secure the wire.
Step 7: Lift the disposal into place and align the mounting tabs with the ramps on the mounting ring. Turn the mounting ring firmly until the three tabs are fully engaged and locked. You should hear a click when it’s seated and sealed.
Step 8: Connect the discharge tube to the disposal and join it to the P-trap. Ensure gaskets are seated, tighten the slip nuts, reconnect the dishwasher drain, and secure with a hose clamp.
Step 9: Turn on water, test for leaks, and restore power to verify quiet operation.

Handydads: A quick, step-by-step guide to installing a handheld bidet sprayer in under 30 minutes.

Step 1: Gather your tools
- Handheld bidet sprayer kit (spray head + hose)
- Metal T-valve adapter that fits your toilet fill valve
- Adjustable wrench
- Plumbers tape (Teflon tape)
- A small bucket and rags for any spills

Step 2: Prep and safety
- Locate the water shut-off valve behind the toilet and turn it clockwise to close.
- Flush the toilet to drain the tank.

Step 3: Disconnect and seal
- Place the bucket under the fill valve and use the wrench to disconnect the supply line.
- Wrap several layers of plumbers tape around the fill valve threads.

Step 4: Install the valve
- Screw on the T-valve adapter.
- Attach the water supply line to the bottom of the T-valve and the bidet hose to the side outlet.

Step 5: Attach and mount
- Connect the sprayer head to the hose.
- Mount the holster bracket to the side of the tank or the wall.
