We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Door Service Technician/Installer to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining doors and related hardware for commercial and residential clients. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to perform mechanical repairs and door hanging tasks efficiently and safely. Responsibilities
-Install new doors, including hanging frames, tracks, guides, operators and hardware, ensuring proper alignment and secure fitment.
-Perform mechanical repairs on existing door systems, addressing issues promptly to restore functionality.
-Use hand tools and power tools effectively for various installation and repair tasks.
-Conduct routine maintenance on door systems to ensure longevity and optimal performance.
-Follow safety protocols during all installation and repair activities to maintain a safe work environment.
-Communicate with clients regarding project progress, completion, and any necessary follow-up work.
-Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored after use.
Qualifications
-Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in door installation or repair preferred.
-Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, drills, etc., for precise work.
-Experience with power tools required for efficient installation and repairs.
-Ability to perform mechanical repairs accurately and efficiently.
Prior experience with door hanging is highly desirable.
-Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
-Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials safely.
-Valid driver’s license required for travel between job sites.
-Background check required.
