Industrial Building Systems is honored to be recognized in the 2026 Varco Pruden Hall of Fame Awards — earning top honors across two categories:
Best of Category – Recreation
The Town of Belmont Skating Rink and Athletic Facility in Belmont, MA, is a 40,300-square-foot, fossil-fuel-free complex designed by The Galante Architecture Studio, Inc. and constructed by Skanska, with Industrial Building Systems LLC providing supply and erect services. Built on the site of the former rink, the facility features a full-size ice sheet, locker rooms, seating, and public amenities. It serves as a year-round hub for hockey, skating, and community events while emphasizing sustainability and modern design.
Best of Category – Recreation
The Donovan Mitchell Family Center at Greenwich Country Day School is a 30,000-square-foot athletic center designed by ARC/Architectural Resources Cambridge, Inc. and built by Turner Construction Company, with Industrial Building Systems LLC serving as the supply and erect subcontractor. Funded in part by NBA player Donovan Mitchell, the facility includes a full NCAA basketball court, divisible into two high school courts, allowing for flexible use. The combination of conventional steel and pre-engineered systems creates a modern, high-performance space for both student athletics and elite training.
