Somewhere, under 1.5 inches of carcasses... of former generations of these roaches, lay the ancestral remains of the female roach who slipped into this candle and could not escape. None of the subsequent generations escaped, they are all packed beneath what you see here on the surface. I watched them try to escape, they couldn't. You're watching them try, they are not.
