Just finished up this little make over project Installed new vinyl plank, hung new door jammed out the window new base and casing and some new color.

Im going to go threw and do some before and after of this project I got to work on but this is by far the coolest house I have ever worked on..
The wood work and craftsmanship on this house was beyond anything done in today's society it's often mimicked but not real wood work.
This house was built back in the 80's by a Swedish man using true old fashioned German woodwork. There is no screws and nails, some bolts were used where steel support was required by code but otherwise all real wood beams fastened by dove tail joints ,pocket joints, scarf joints and other joints, you dont see this anymore this is old school stuff.
I would say I was lucky to have had the privilege to not only see this but get to be part of restoring the finish on the wood. All my years working on houses and re finishing wood this was the first house out side of today's log homes (witch dont compare) That I have seen true wood work like this, Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship.

Wanted to wait till the counter tops were installed to get after pics but I was done with the project before they were in. So here is the finished product from my last post about all the prep work that goes into cupboards, and I didn't even show all the disassembly, reassembly and hardware that was involved just the tape paper and plastic.

So much prep work to paint cabinets. Not my favorite thing to do but it's gotta get done.
