45 Architecture

45 Architecture 45’s work focuses on residential, commercial and educational building types that reflect a range of a It all starts with our most important asset: our client.

Our Practice:

“People often ask, "What’s your style?" Perhaps it's because so many architecture firms want their "styles" to be easily identified. We want to achieve our client’s style.”

45 Architecture was originally co-founded in 2014 in Bozeman by Benjamin Erickson and then later joined by Architect, Jeff Lusin. Ben and Jeff have been fortunate to add many talented 45 team members throughout

the years. The purpose our practice resides in achieving our client’s needs. 45 combines the intimacy and one-on-one mentoring environment as a small practice but with the extensive knowledge of a major design firm. Our goal is to always give each project the time and attention it needs to be successful and achieve the needs of our client. Our reputation is based on the personal relationships we develop with our clients, and we carefully and constantly monitor our workload throughout our firm to make sure we have the time to develop these strong partnerships and to do our work to the best of our abilities. Our design approach focuses on the occupants of our design. We strive to create buildings and homes that transcend function to transform places and improve people’s lives. Our style is a reflection of our clients. Every client is different, and therefore so is every project. Ideally, our work is a reflection of you, your style, way of life, site and budget. We use our expertise and ingenuity to create your space. It’s also our job to tell you honestly what your property or budget will or won’t allow. We honor our word, demonstrate active trust and make principled decisions. We approach design as a process that combines problem-solving, research and invention. Our definition of architecture embraces planning, programming, landscape architecture and interior design as being intimately intertwined in producing our work. We work for the client and want to achieve their design goals

The rendering of our new office location which we have a project move in for June/ July of 2024. We'll have plenty of space for our staff and convenient access with a centralized location off of Ferguson in Bozeman. The design of our office is a true reflection of our architectural expertise. Taking inspiration from the landscape we design around, we have created a space that seamlessly combines natural materials and fine detail elements.

The authentic expression of our architecture shines through the thoughtful use of materials and meticulous attention to the craft our the materials. We are committed to creating a space that not only embodies our vision but also inspires the creativity and collaboration of the people that we work with.

Construction is progressing swiftly, and we anticipate the completion of the structural shell by January. The final office buildout will be finished to perfection by June 2024, creating a space that perfectly aligns with our values and aesthetic.

Stay tuned for more updates as we show off the progress of our space.

In the past, our walls expressed who we really were. From rock stars to sports legends, and even architects (yes, you read that right), we decorated our rooms with the coolest posters we could find. The walls were our canvas, and we were artists. This was how we showed the world who we really were.

The concept of outdoor space is to offer a design solution that adapts to the changing position of the sun throughout the day. Outdoor areas oriented towards the morning sun provide an ideal location for protection from the intense afternoon western sun.

Lambert Field Improvements created an artificial turf, multi-purpose sports, and recreation field, accompanied by a support facility with a spectator venue, to the outdoor sports field complex on the Montana State University Campus. The existing fields complex is located on the west end of campus and is used for student recreational sports including soccer, softball, ultimate frisbee, and flag football, as well as community activities and camps.

If you've been in Montana long enough to know that it's about scheduling your summers around the rodeo season.

In honor of this week's Big Sky PBR, we wanted to post the feasibility of what the future could look like for an arena for Big Sky. The Big Sky Community Arena would be able to house a multitude of events from the rodeo, to volleyball and concerts in the summer and hockey, and curling in the winter. The arena also comprises interior event space for concerts, dinner, and pre-function events.

The Cloverleaf project embodies the unique and varied characters of this neighborhood. The roof deck will provide a view of the Bridger Mountains and the trails that weave through them. The facade uses brick, concrete, corrugated metal, and glass to reference the materials used in the construction of mills and canneries that once stood nearby.
