⚠️ SEPTIC SAFETY — A BROKEN LID CAN BE DEADLY ⚠️

A cracked, damaged, loose, or improperly secured septic tank lid is more than a maintenance problem — it can be a serious safety hazard.

Tragically, children have fallen into unsecured septic tanks, and some of these accidents have resulted in death. Septic tanks are deep, contain dangerous gases, and can be extremely difficult to escape.

If you have a septic system, take a few minutes to check your lids:

• Make sure lids are not cracked or damaged
• Make sure they are properly secured
• Never leave an access opening uncovered — even temporarily
• Replace damaged lids as soon as possible
• Keep children away whenever a tank is being inspected or serviced

If you’re unsure about the condition of your septic lids, don’t take a chance. Have them inspected.
