Shovels in the ground in Bozeman! This morning Martel Construction joined Cushing Terrell and Whitefish Credit Union to break ground on WFCU's new branch at 19th and Kagy.

This team has already built branches together in Missoula and Kalispell, and we're proud to keep that partnership going. Relationships like this are built over years, one project at a time.

Thanks to Whitefish Credit Union for trusting us again, and to Cushing Terrell for another great collaboration.

Through our community support program ELEVATE, the Martel Construction team spent a day at Greater Impact Home in Bozeman, replacing old, worn-out flooring with fresh, durable new floors.

It’s a small project on paper, but one that makes a real difference in the daily lives of the people who call Greater Impact Home their community. We’re proud to support organizations that strengthen Bozeman and grateful to the team who showed up ready to work.

Martel continues to promote safety in the workplace in various ways through their Martel Monthly Safety School Training, Hazard Identification and Mitigation, Employee Engagement and Safety Culture. Through the adoption of enhanced safety equipment, real-time monitoring systems, and ergonomic tools that has not only improved safety and productivity but has increased employee engagement. Martel plans on continuing into 2027 with several new initiatives to promote a healthy and safe work environment well into the future. Accepting the award for Martel today is Shawn Vincent, Safety and Risk Director. Congratulations Martel Construction on your award two years in a row!

This was a gorgeous week in the Gallatin Valley to be flying steel.

We’re erecting the new SomeraRoad hangar at Gallatin Field in Belgrade, on the edge of an operating airport and a life-flight helicopter FBO. Projects like this are successful because of our planning: delivery windows that don’t interfere with flight operations, strict site cleanliness, and a safety standard that matches the airfield next door.

Hats off to our project leaders, self-performing craft professionals, and subcontractors for keeping the iron and the airport moving at the same time.

Martel Construction was part of a community project at the Gallatin County Fair Grounds Main Ice Arena.
bozeman is currently building the west side bleachers, locker rooms, meeting room, bar & restaurant.

Martel’s ELEVATE team donated a Friday afternoon to install benches in the main visitor locker room.

Gallatin Ice Botcher Families West Side Expansion is set to open in early December before the holidays.

Martel Construction has been building durable, mission-critical facilities for a long time.

In the 1970s, we completed a large expansion of the Montana State Prison. Then, as now, that kind of work meant extensive coordination, tight security, uncompromising quality, and logistics built for a site that does not pause for construction.

The tools have changed. The standard has not.

Integrity. Safety. Quality. Reliability. Still the way we build.

Airports are usually fluorescent stress machines. The Missoula Montana Airport (MSO) is not.

MSO feels more like a hip new hangout that happens to have gates. Abundant natural light pours through walls of glass. Views open in every direction—Bitterroot hills, big sky, planes rolling in like they’re part of the landscape. The terminal is cavernous without being chaotic: separated spaces keep check-in, security, and waiting from colliding, so the flow stays easy even when the place is full.

Warm wood, high ceilings, fireplaces, and an outdoor patio when the weather is nice. You sit, you look out, you unclench. Travel still happens. The panic does not.

Jones Hall at MSU Bozeman is officially open.

Montana State University just marked a milestone for nursing education in our state with the grand opening of the new Jones Hall in Bozeman — a modern home for the Mark and Robyn Jones College of Nursing designed by Cushing Terrell and built by Martel.

This building is part of a historic $101 million gift from Mark and Robyn Jones, founders of Goosehead Insurance. Their generosity funded new College of Nursing facilities across MSU’s campuses — an investment that will help train more nurses for communities throughout Montana.

Thank you, Mark and Robyn Jones. Your belief in Montana students and rural health care will be felt for generations — in every classroom, simulation lab, and hospital hallway these Bobcat nurses walk into.

Here’s to the next chapter of nursing education at MSU.
