As exterior construction and site improvements continue, the interior renovation is nearing completion at our City of Longmont, Colorado Government Safety & Justice Center project. The once dated and expansive entrance lobby has been re-configured and strengthened in its design and security while being refreshed and modernized.

The radial lobby with multiple points of check-in and direct access to the second-floor administrative offices has been consolidated. The ground floor addition coupled with an angular approach leads visitors to a single point of reception while securing access to the second floor.

The lobby finishes feature custom cut Armstrong World Industries acoustic paneling with aluminum reveals at the walls and a suspended acoustic ceiling held behind a bladed canopy with linear fixtures.

Progress update for a residential project in Boulder, CO.

The structure is now enclosed, and the closed-cell spray foam insulation is in! Within these tight quarters we’ve created a breezeway by the existing home to provide access to the backyard. At completion, the Marvin bi-folding patio doors will open onto an exterior patio.

Within the next 4-6 weeks we’re looking forward to seeing Blue Spruce Construction bring our vision to life!

Darin earned a Bachelor’s of Interior Architecture degree from Kansas State University in 1998 and has built his career around creating thoughtful design solutions that enhance the way people live and work. He achieved NCIDQ certification in 2002, demonstrating his commitment to professional excellence, industry standards, and continuous growth. Throughout his career, Darin has developed extensive experience across healthcare, tenant improvement, and hospitality projects, delivering functional, innovative, and client-focused design solutions.

Since joining PEH Architects, Darin has been a valuable addition - assisting with design document preparation and project management assistance across a number of our current projects.

We're excited to see him continue applying his expertise and knowledge to benefit our clients, projects, and team as he grows within the firm.

Earlier this week, the PEH ARCHITECTS team skipped out early for an outing to Coors Field to watch the . The Rockies may not have won but we had a great time enjoying the weather and bonding as a team!

We hit a big milestone for one of our residential projects in Boulder! And a nice shout out to Blue Spruce Construction Services!

The concrete foundations for this new detached structure are poured and cured. If you notice the relation of these foundations to the existing home and alley, that was intentional. We optimized the building footprint within the allowed governances set forth.

Up next is the building framing, so stay tuned!

Site improvements and interior finishes are well under way at our project in the .

The exterior house has been painted, and the custom cast iron fencing has been installed on the salvaged and rebuilt retaining wall.

Inside, custom cabinets are being installed, window trim has been placed, and the shower installation is nearly complete.

Construction continues to progress at the Longmont Safety & Justice Center.

The exterior envelope is well underway: the entry addition and tower element are framed, and weather barrier installation is nearly complete. Along the curved entry element, the clerestory framing is complete, and the ground-level storefront system is nearing completion.

Interior tenant finish work is progressing, with several offices and community spaces framed and drywalled. The mechanical subcontractor has begun installing and reconfiguring ductwork throughout both new and remodeled spaces.

We’re heading into the home stretch on the completion of a new 11,000 SF pre-engineered metal building for Western Disposal Services.

Golden Triangle Construction is in the process of completing the final few touches that includes painting the exterior doors, installing casework, and hanging push floor lights within the building.

We can’t wait to see this unique process under operation!

Demolition efforts are underway for our latest student housing project. This exterior rehabilitation project will feature the removal and replacement of in-kind aged exterior stairs and third floor walkways at multiple buildings.
