Since joining Cascade in 2013, Dennis has made a lasting impact across our Midwest operations. From leading our Flint business unit to overseeing estimating for the region, he’s built strong teams, supported projects from planning through completion, and remained committed to keeping safety at the forefront.

We’re excited to announce that Andrew Whitsell has been promoted to Vice President of Operations, Desert States!

Andrew brings more than 15 years of experience across geology, mining, environmental drilling, and operations leadership. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Geology and an MBA, is a Certified Professional Geologist, and holds contractor and driller licenses in multiple states.

Since joining Cascade, Andrew has taken on progressively senior leadership roles, including Operations Manager, Key Accounts Manager, and most recently, Director of Operations.

Throughout his time at Cascade, Andrew has helped strengthen operational performance, safety, and customer satisfaction while leading teams across the western and southwestern United States. His experience in drilling technologies, mineral exploration, and complex project delivery will continue to serve our teams and customers in his expanded role.

With more than 30 years of financial leadership experience, Gary has served as CFO for both public and private companies across a variety of industries, including construction, manufacturing, and professional services. He brings a strong background in strategic financial management and business growth.

Gary started his career with PwC in Cape Town, South Africa, before relocating to New York and joining the firm's Audit and Mergers & Acquisitions teams.

When he is not working, Gary enjoys cycling, flying, fishing, traveling, and spending time outdoors.

We are excited to have Gary on board and look forward to the experience and leadership he brings to Cascade.

This Employee Recognition goes to Al Sizemore and Dan Fyvie from our Flint, MI team.

When severe weather shut down operations, Al and Dan still found a way to make a difference. While traveling through Ohio, they witnessed a tractor-trailer blown off the road by powerful winds. Without hesitation, they stopped to help.

Dan, a firefighter, and Al climbed onto the overturned truck and safely assisted the elderly driver out of the cab. They then brought him into the warmth and safety of their Cascade truck until emergency responders arrived.

We’re proud to recognize Al and Dan for their quick thinking, teamwork, and willingness to help when it mattered most.
