Springfield Armory has spent more than two centuries at the intersection of American history, innovation, and craftsmanship. Today, the National Park Service preserves that legacy while ensuring the site can continue to be experienced by generations to come.

Through our work with NPS, LJV has had the opportunity to contribute to that mission, including our recent accessibility improvements at Springfield Armory and work at other historic sites.

It was an honor to celebrate America’s 250th and the opening of Springfield Armory’s new ADA-accessible ramp with community members and leaders including Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno, MA State Senator Jake Oliveira , and US Rep Richard Neal.

Projects like these are some of our favorites because they ask us to do more than build something new. They challenge us to understand what makes a place significant, respect the work and stories that came before us, and find thoughtful ways to make it work better for the people using it today. Seeing the new accessible entrance celebrated alongside 250 years of history was a special reminder of why we love this work.

This admin room has been fully transformed into a clean, functional workspace built to support daily operations. From early demolition and system upgrades to finishes and final details, every phase of this project focused on durability, efficiency, and long-term use.

We’re proud of the craftsmanship and coordination that brought this space together — another example of thoughtful construction making a real impact behind the scenes.

Our team is making steady progress on a full bathroom renovation in Provincetown. From opening up the walls and upgrading plumbing infrastructure to installing new fixtures, finishes, and lighting, this space is transforming quickly.

We’re excited to bring updated functionality and a clean, modern look to this facility as we move into the final stages of the project. More updates to come!
