As One of the busiest summers on record for Boston Gutter Guys comes to a close this is a friendly reminder to all that you get what you pay for & due diligence has never been more important.
The number of shoddy gutter installs we've had to repair for distraught homeowners who couldn't even get their selected installer to answer the phone, let alone return and fix their botched work - is disturbing.
We were called to many homes to clean gutters that the homeowner just paid someone else to clean in the weeks before- only to still have over flowing gutters - with that company asking for more money to return and do the job they didn't complete the first time
fly by night gutter companies and "property management" companies pop up on Facebook marketing themselves across Boston & the south shore- like weeds.
Some with the audacity to carbon copy our slogans & website itself.
Boston Gutter Guys has been around nearly two decades without a single negative review.
"Often imitated never duplicated"
-We will not be your cheapest quote & we dont strive to be.
Good work isn't cheap.
Cheap work isnt good.
Our installations & repairs are warrantied for life. The work completed by the owner of the business.
Not unskilled laborers landscapers, painters, roofers, e.t.c chasing a quick buck.
We never use miter strips, only boxed miters we use only premium bonding agents, adhesives, sealants, hardware - gutter & downspout material.
Even our gutter cleaning service comes with before + after photos which you can view before paying your invoice online- with satisfaction guaranteed- before you pay.
As gutter professionals we have the equipment to service your gutter system ladder free-without risk of damage to lawn, flower beds, siding or roof shingles..
And the tools + experience to scale the largest brownstones in the south end safely complying with state and federal saftey+code regulations
Remember to:
Ask for a home improvement contractor registration number & certificate of insurance before allowing anyone to work on your home.
Ask for a COI and read it-
Plenty or Facebook operations claim to be insured but aren't or aren't properly insured.
If someone you hire to be up on your roof isnt properly insured to be up there, (landscaper, or property maintenance employee)and is injured or becomes permanently disabled from a fall on your property the ramifications can be a financial disaster.
Homeowners insurance may decline coverage.
Always ask for a certificate of insurance.
(If it cant be provided immediately, that's a big red flag. )
Details of coverage will be listed including the max height if any allowed.
Ask for home improvement contractor registration & verify it on the state's website before allowing any repairs or installation to occur.
As fall starts to arrive in Boston & the leaves begin to fall- remember to schedule your gutter cleaning early and reserve a space on the schedule.
Were usually booked into January by mid November.
