Audacy’s new 15,000-square-foot Boston office brings workplace and broadcasting functions together in a dynamic new home designed to reflect the energy and identity of its local team.

Working within an existing office space, LDa developed the design around Audacy’s specialized mix of offices, collaborative areas, and broadcast studios. The design balances the technical and acoustical requirements of a working broadcast environment with a comfortable, engaging workplace that supports the team’s day-to-day operations.

Throughout space, thoughtful design interventions create a cohesive look and feel while elements inspired by Boston give the office a distinct sense of place. The design reflects Audacy’s broader identity while creating an environment that feels specific to its Boston team and the community it serves.
Careful planning and coordination also addressed the specialized infrastructure required for broadcasting, from acoustical considerations within the studios to the equipment and building systems that support operations. The result is a functional and energetic workplace that brings Audacy’s people and programming together in a space distinctly their own.

Last week, our team celebrated our annual Fun Day at LookOut Farm for a fun day of fall activities including a BBQ, lawn games, and s’mores! 🍁

From unique approaches to corn hole (overhand, anyone?), to competitions over who makes the best s’more (hint: Liz is the self proclaimed s’mores queen), this year’s Fun Day was filled with laughter, joy, lots of c***r donuts, and the energy of a new season.

Thanks to the incredible team at LookOut Farm for making our fall team outing so wonderful and enjoyable! 🍎

LDa designed a new residential community for 72 priests and brothers on five acres of land along the eastern edge of the Boston College campus, prompted by the Weston Jesuit School of Theology merging with Boston College to form the new Boston College School for Theology & Ministry.

The project consists of a complex of five new buildings, totaling approximately 50,000 square feet. Four of the buildings house the Jesuits and guests (the “Houses”), while the fifth building serves as a common gathering space for group dining, worship, and administrative functions.

The Houses are clustered around a central gathering lawn, with the community chapel gently turned to face the residential buildings. The scale of the buildings modulates between adjacent residential, institutional, and multifamily neighbors.

Capturing a Moment of Light

Natural light is a beautiful, compelling and powerful design element that anchors the soul of a home inside and out. Best of all, it is free, plentiful, and can be manipulated in exciting ways. The time to consider its potential is from the moment you decide to build or renovate your home.

Inspired by the past, built for the future

The First Baptist Church of Wakefield is designed to serve the needs of today’s congregation while welcoming the next generation. The new building replaces a beloved historic church lost to a devastating lightning strike and fire in 2018. Informed by the former church and the tradition of New England churches on the green, the new design centers on a 200-person sanctuary and a flexible fellowship hall. An adjacent kitchen and lounge support a variety of activities—from worship and classes to social gatherings and community events. The building also includes staff offices, a dedicated children’s room, and has been thoughtfully designed to accommodate future expansion. The design emphasizes openness between rooms to create a strong connection between fellowship and worship spaces. Flexibility was also a central goal, ensuring the building can support a wide range of uses for both the congregation and the broader community.

Earlier this year, our team took a trip down to Nantucket to visit job sites and check in on projects! Gillian and Treff made it to our Oceanfront Estate project as demo and construction were kicking off to review design details and talk big picture with our project partners.

While seeing the finished project is exciting, so much of the magic occurs throughout the journey. From changes in scope to fresh design inspiration, being on site with our clients and project partners allows for a special type of creativity and problem solving to occur.

As we near the end of August, our team is thinking about how we can get outdoors and soak up the last rays of summer, as well as those beautiful early fall days. One of the best ways to get outdoors and support local conservation efforts is by visiting local parks and recreation sites!

We are proud to support the stewardship of places and organizations that celebrate the beauty of the outdoors, protect the natural landscape, and encourage learning about our shared environment.

Now, we want to hear from you! What is your favorite place to go when you want to get a breath of fresh air and re-connect with nature? Head to the comments to drop your favorite spot, or to discover a new destination!

Yesterday was National Dog Day, and our team wanted to share some of our favorite pups who have joined us at photoshoots over the years. These furry guest stars are not only a blast to have join us for photoshoot days, but they make for some pretty awesome models, too. 🐾
