Heyyyy -I’m Kat. I build things to solve your house problems, and while I usually forget to take progress photos because I get hyper focused on small details… every now and again I’m captured in the wild 📸
….
A few things you should know:

I’m not the cheapest, but I know how to stretch a dollar without making your house look like a landlord special.

I’m not the fastest, because I have this deeply inconvenient habit of caring too much.

And I’m not interested in cranking out cookie-cutter work that falls apart emotionally and structurally in three years.

Thoughtful spaces, clever solutions, good design, and clients who want their home to feel more like them when I leave than when I arrived… that’s my jam.

Remember what I said about how the materials I work with become the backdrop to your life?
This is that…
The tiny imperfections that stick out… that drive you mad…

We’ve all done the shuffle.
Move the plant.
Shift the chair.
Crop it out.
Edit it later.

All this energy over a “little thing” - “no honey we’re not putting the tree there I don’t want that eyesore in the photo.”

But here’s the thing … this fix too was “imperfect”. Had I kept it clean and straight and tight it would have stood out in a different way… it’s using the new materials to make this repair look old so it disappears in the best way.

One of my favorite parts of this work?
Standing in a lumberyard, looking at stacks of raw material… Every board, sheet, slab… is just potential.
Waiting to become part someone’s morning routine…The backdrop of family photos… something practical or pretty (hopefully both)
I get to take this rough/unrefined thing, transform a space, and if it quietly fades into the background and looks like it’s always been there, I’ve sone my job- that is my dopamine.

You shouldn’t feel like a prisoner in your own home…

Ha! See what I did there?

I can help you escape the decisions of homeowners past and create a space where you don’t have to use the blur filter for your meeting.

I paint a lot of things white.

And I mean that with respect…There’s a reason people come back to them again and again.

But after a while, they start to blur together for me. White Dove, Chantilly Lace, Swiss Coffee…I can’t remember which one went where…

These pants tho…they remember everything.

Every project lives here… and this … THIS is the kind of color that sticks. Bold, unforgettable and unserious.

These aren’t just paint stains they’re a record of choices on an unsuspecting canvas.

Cold, dated laminate → warm, welcoming first impression.

Not gonna recommend painting this one … laminate is best covered! Clad this one in 1/4” oak with stain-grade trim instead. Way better finish, better longevity, elevated look.
This softened the clinical dentist-office vibe and shifted to warm welcoming…

Added chair rail + wainscoting throughout to tie it all together. Stone top goes in next, which is going to be the icing on the cake.

It’s a great first impression for this practice! Still afraid of the dentist though. 🦷

Delicate space, delicate process.

Installed three floating drawers into this absolutely stunning violet marble moment without compromising a single surface. That meant carefully drilling into the marble (slow, steady, no room for error) and using a permanent bond adhesive to secure the structure—because drilling into that navy quartz vanity wasn’t an option.

This is the part people don’t always see: the problem-solving behind the pretty. Every decision here was about respecting the material while still delivering something functional, clean, and built to last.

Clever carpentry isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s quiet, precise, and a little nerve-wracking.
