We are navigating life through our own storms.

Trying to lay buoys along the way to signal a path, safety, a course.

We are climbing hills, mountains even cliffs.

Trying to use our rope skills, our knowledge of wind and balance.

We are soaring ever so slightly
Plummeting ever so often.

Attempting to reaffirm our position, role as it was to hide what it had become.
All the while knowing the full truth, the undeniable essence, our core.

Too much time has passed.
Too much distance between who we appeared to be and what we have become.
Too much raw essence released into the air.
Too much evolution and regression.

We stand on the edge of the precipice.
We stand in delusion.
We stand and we crumble.

Raising our eyes to the sky
Raising our prayers to a Gd who laid a path not taken and who prepared a lesson to be learnt
Raising our arms to the sky as we fall deep into the core, just on the edge of Caronte’s boat

And fall we shall deeper and deeper

For when the lights go out
Our truth shines

In recent designs we have received requests for Corduroy glass inserts… a resurgence… in my head I was trying to remember where I had explored this in my you get days… until I walked into Tiffany’s for a special gift… and there it was… a Athena Calderone moment
