From the Bottom of Our Hearts, THANK YOU!

We are truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, prayers, kindness, and support our family has received from our amazing customers and community during this heartbreaking time.

After Wednesday's loss and medical emergency, we found ourselves behind schedule. We reached out to some of our customers asking if they would be willing to skip this week's mowing in exchange for a credit, and so many graciously agreed without hesitation. What touched our hearts even more was that most wouldn't even allow us to credit them for the missed service!

Because of your incredible generosity and understanding, Zach and the boys were able to get caught up without having to work this weekend. That means they get to be home with me as I recover, and we can spend much-needed time together as a family while grieving the loss of our sweet baby.

You gave us something far more valuable than flexibility in our schedule. You gave us the gift of time together when we needed it most.

To everyone who has prayed, reached out, checked on us, or offered encouragement, please know how deeply grateful we are. God has reminded us of His love and faithfulness through each of you.

We are so blessed to serve such an incredible community. We love you all, and we will never forget the grace, generosity, and kindness you've shown our family.

We wanted to take a moment to share a personal update with our valued customers.

This week, our family experienced the heartbreaking loss of our baby at 12 weeks of pregnancy. Unfortunately, the miscarriage resulted in some serious medical complications for me that required emergency hospitalization.

By God's grace, I am now home and recovering, and we are incredibly thankful for His protection through such a difficult and frightening experience.

As I take some much-needed time to rest, heal, and be with my family, I kindly ask for your patience and understanding. I will be responding to phone calls, text messages, estimates, and emails as my strength and time allow. Please understand that response times may be longer than usual over the coming days.

We are so grateful for our wonderful customers and the grace you continue to extend to our family and small business.

Thank you for your understanding, continued support, and prayers during this difficult time.

Before 1:16 Lawn Care came to Southwest Florida, we started something special in our Illinois community called Sow • Grow • Serve. Now, we're excited to bring this outreach initiative to SWFL!

At 1:16 Lawn Care, we believe our purpose goes beyond maintaining beautiful properties. God has blessed us with a business, skills, and opportunities, and we want to use those blessings to serve others.

OUR FIRST ROUND OF NOMINATIONS IS OFFICIALLY OPEN!

We are looking for an individual or family in our community who could truly use a helping hand.

Location: Based out of the Bonita Springs Area

Starting Pay: $18/hour
Opportunity to earn $20/hour within 60 days
Advancement Opportunity: Crew Leader – Up to $25/hour

We're hiring for CHARACTER, not experience!

We can teach you how to mow, trim, install landscapes, and operate equipment. What we're looking for is someone who is:

Hardworking, dependable, and punctual

A quick learner with a teachable attitude

Self-motivated, driven, and a go-getter

Willing to take initiative without constant direction

Detail-oriented and takes pride in their work

Honest, accountable, and eager to grow

We're a family-owned, faith-based company. Our name comes from Romans 1:16, and our Christian faith guides how we operate our business, serve our customers, and treat our team.

REQUIREMENTS:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Must speak, read, and write fluent English

One of the best parts of doing business in Florida… sometimes your estimates come with an ocean view.

Not a bad office for the afternoon!

Earlier this week I was out checking out a property and putting together an estimate, and I definitely don’t take for granted that this gets to be part of the job.

September brought plenty of Florida rain, busy days, dirty boots, lots of grass, and a whole lot to be thankful for.

I love getting pictures like this during the workday. 🥰

Kegan and Hayden have both been spending time working alongside Dad, learning the business, making some money, and getting a very real education in working hard in the Florida heat. 😂🌴

There’s just something special about watching your kids get older and seeing them work alongside their dad in the business we’ve spent years building as a family.

They work hard, give each other a hard time, laugh a lot, and somehow still smile for a picture at the end of it. 😂

Definitely one of my favorite parts of being a family-operated business. 💚

And I may be a little biased, but that’s a pretty good-looking crew! 😉

Nothing says “I have my life together” quite like realizing HALFWAY through your day that you’re wearing two different shoes. 😂

I left the house in the dark for an early networking meeting, got through the entire meeting, talked to actual professional adults, went on with my workday…and then while standing at an estimate I looked down.

Ma’am. Those are not the same shoes. 🤦‍♀️😂

Out mowing today for one of our Standard Mowing Package clients!

Our Standard Mowing Package includes 36 mows per year and is designed around the unique growing conditions here in Florida.

Here’s how it works:

From May through October, we are here on a weekly basis during the growing season.

In November, December, and April when the grass is growing but not going crazy, we'll switch to biweekly.

And in the cooler, slow growing months of January, February, and March, we'll visit once a month.

All year long, we have their lawn covered!

25 years ago today.

Zach and I were both in 8th grade on September 11, 2001. I still remember sitting at school and watching it unfold on TV. As a kid, I knew something terrible was happening, but I don't think I could ever fully process the magnitude of what I was seeing.

As an adult, with a family of my own, it just hits differently.

I think about the husbands and wives who never came home. The parents who left for work that morning and never got to hug their children again. The children who grew up without a mom or dad. The first responders who ran toward danger knowing the cost could be their own lives.

And I'm reminded just how fragile this life really is.

September 11 reminds us of incredible courage and sacrifice, but it also reminds us that this world is broken and that none of us are promised tomorrow.

That is why our hope has to be in something greater than this world.

Our hope is in Jesus Christ.

The Gospel doesn't promise us a life without tragedy, suffering, or loss. It gives us something greater—a Savior who entered into our brokenness, conquered sin and death, and offers eternal life to everyone who puts their faith in Him.

Today we remember those who were lost. We pray for the families who still carry that grief, for our first responders and military, and for our nation.

But most of all, my prayer is that we would recognize how short this life is and make sure our hope is firmly planted in Christ.

“In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33
