Wall height does not equal door clearance. Trusses, headers, and door tracks take up vertical space inside. Here’s the fast math before you build:

The 2-Foot Rule: Your walls must be at least 2 feet taller than your highest door. (Need a 14' door for an RV or camper? You need 16' walls.)

Go Wider: Upgrading to 12' or 14' wide doors makes backing boats and trailers in much easier.
