Material Green bespoke upholstery+fabric+furnishings I have always had a passion for sewing. Attending college for graphic design, I have always loved colors and patterns.

When I was twelve I asked my mother to show me how to thread the machine and the rest came naturally. In 1994 I moved to Saint James City, FL from Springfield, MO. While living here in SWFL I have pursued my passion for design, with a position at Williams-Sonoma and then later as Design Manager for David Weekley Homes. Years of working in a design center, furnishing models/spec homes and making visual displays have brought me to where I am today. Material Green allows me to create on another level. As they say "you'll never work a day in your life if you love what you are doing!"

Where did you go?

Are you still doing upholstery?

YES!! Not a far move but a BIG change!

Material Green has a new studio about 20 ft to the west of my previous location.

I will be sharing our renovation story in a later post so watch for that and follow along!

This is our third building that we have poured a lot of love into. Just hoping to make the island we live and work on a little prettier place ❤️
