Job Description
Signature Granite LLC located in Meridian ID is seeking an experienced Granite Installer to aid in the installation of stone countertops and other surfaces. Potential for advancement to LEAD installer based on experience and drive. A successful candidate will have the ability to represent our company by interfacing with customers and contractors with a positive and professional attitude. This position reports to the Installation and Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of installation process including communicating with customer and Signature Granite scheduling department.
Loading and unloading of company vehicles with items necessary to complete installs.
Responsible for moving, setting, measuring, setting miters, onsite cutting and polishing and mounting stone countertops.
Ensures jobsite is clean and left in an orderly fashion after installs are complete.
Accountable for maintaining tools and ensuring they are collected and returned to assigned Signature Granite vehicle at the end of each job.
Reviews and troubleshoots CAD plans to ensure install progress smoothly.
Identifies any potential install issues prior to leaving the shop.
Report safety issues immediately.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN GRANITE COUNTERTOP INSTALLATION OR SHOP EXPERIENCE!
An understanding of the fabrication process capable of reading blue prints and shop drawings.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include working outside the typical Monday-Friday, and overtime.
Must be willing to travel to surrounding areas as far as McCall, Sun Valley, Twin Falls, and Ontario.
Able to complete a satisfactory physical exam, background check (criminal and motor), and drug screening.
Must hold a valid ID drivers license.
Maintain professional appearance. (Signature Granite shirts provided after 2 weeks of employment.)
Must be able to accurately read a measuring tape and read and interpret installation drawings.
Must be able to use hand tools and power tools
Must be able to lift 100+ pounds
Must be able to wear protective equipment that includes steel toed boots, eye wear, and face mask when necessary.
Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, lift, squat and stand for long periods.
Must be efficient in reading maps, directions, and using a GPS.
Must possess the ability to speak, read and write in English.
Other Skills Preferred:
Dependability and Punctuality- No call no shows or frequent tardiness will not be tolerated.
Organization- Candidates will be required to keep track of their work hours and are required to turn them into our accountant by deadline. Failure to do so results in non-pay till the following payday.
Strong work ethic, honesty, and positivity.
Compensation:
$10-14/Hour depending on experience.
Eligibility for raise at time of evaluations at 30 days, 60 days, 90 days and 1 year. Then every year following.
