🔥 THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our Learn & Burn event! 🔥

What an amazing, successful day. We're so grateful to every person who showed up, asked questions, and pitched in to help.

A special thank you to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation and to Darron and Michelle Williams for their continued support. We couldn't do this without you! 🙏

And the results? The straw bale wall never caught fire after more than TWO HOURS of direct heat from a blow torch, while the standard wall went up in a matter of minutes. 🌾

Full details and video coming soon. Stay tuned!

🔥 IT'S TOMORROW.

LEARN & BURN is back — a live fire test putting straw bale walls head-to-head against conventional construction. Real flames, side by side, and you'll see with your own eyes which one stands up.

📅 Sunday, October 4th • 1:30–3:30 PM
📍 Wildland Firefighter Foundation — 2393 W Airport Way, Boise

Bring your curiosity (and your skepticism). See you there.

🔥 This Sunday, we're lighting walls on fire. For science.

Learn & Burn is back for its second year! We're putting three wall assemblies to the flame: two conventional walls and one straw bale wall. One of them won't burn. Come see which one with your own eyes.

🗓 Sunday, Oct 4 | 1:30–3:30 PM
📍 Wildland Firefighter Foundation, 2393 W Airport Way, Boise (right by the airport)

We'll kick off with a short presentation inside, then head outside for the burn and a big Q&A while the walls are going up in flames.

Bring the kiddos! There's a kids corner, and it's a great Firewise-type event for the whole family. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

See you Sunday!

Building local means more than hiring locally — it means investing in the people, resources, and industries that make our community stronger.

At EarthCraft Construction, that philosophy carries into the way we build. Straw bale construction allows us to use an agricultural byproduct from wheat production and turn it into a high-performance building material.

It connects our homes to local farmers, local resources, and the community around us.

That matters to us.

Because when we support our community from the ground up, we all become stronger.
