We have a lot of pending staining waiting for the weather to cooperate - once conditions are right we will then be 6+ weeks out - let us get you taken care of so you don't have to wait!

We want to recognize and honor someone incredibly special — Barbara (our mom), who recently retired from her role as office manager.

For years, she answered phones slayed the books, taking care of us and all of you. She was the steady, behind-the-scenes force keeping our office running smoothly. Her dedication, organization, and care played a foundational role in supporting both this business and our team.

While she has officially stepped into retirement, the impact she made here continues every day. We are deeply grateful for the time, heart, and commitment she gave to Vanderhoof Brothers.

Just like all of us here at Vanderhoof Brothers - your fence has been out there working hard all year! Rain, sun, snow, the neighbor’s dog barking at it… it’s been through a lot. A quality fence is a serious investment, it deserves a little spring TLC to keep standing strong and looking sharp.

Here are some great upkeep suggestions to help extend the lifespan of your fence:

For Wood Fences:
• Check for boo-boos – Loose boards, rot, or bug bites? Give it a once-over and show it some love.
• Clean the grime – A gentle wash will take off the winter gunk and reveal that beautiful wood grain again.
• Stain & seal = sunscreen for fences – Keeps it glowing and protected. You wouldn’t skip SPF, would you?
• Back off, bushes – Plants creeping on your fence are not cute. Trim them up to prevent moisture damage.

For Vinyl Fences:
• Scrub-a-dub-dub – A little soap and water is all it takes to keep it shiny and white (or beige—we don’t judge).
• Inspect for cracks – Even vinyl has its limits. A quick peek now can prevent a summer meltdown later.
• Zap those stains – Sap and lawn gunk are party crashers. Show them the door early.
