Achieving full approval wasn’t easy — but it’s exactly why we do what we do.

The homeowner had legitimate wind damage, but getting the insurance company to fully recognize it took persistence, documentation, and knowing how to navigate the process the right way.

In the end, we got it done!

We replaced the roof with Owens Corning Duration Flex Class 4 impact-resistant shingles, giving the home a major upgrade in durability and longevity.

We also installed three new VELUX skylights, bringing in natural light while ensuring everything was flashed and sealed correctly. With 10yr leak free warranty.

Since this home sits in the Boise foothills (WUI IR1 zone), we went a step further and installed non-combustible vent mesh to meet wildfire interface requirements — something most contractors overlook.

This wasn’t just a roof replacement.
It was a full system upgrade, done right and brought up to code.

Recently, we have heard other contractors selling customers on a “50 year architectural shingle”. There are definitely 50 year options, but it’s not what they are selling you. Pushing the manufacturer warranty as a primary selling point is often a red flag 🚩
