Another beautiful project completed to perfection by the teams at Recon Roofing & EGT Solar! ✅🏡☀️

When it’s time to replace your roof beneath an existing solar system, choosing the right team matters. Properly coordinating roofing and solar removal and reinstallation requires specialized experience to ensure both systems are integrated correctly and built to perform for years to come.

Choosing a contractor without the right expertise can lead to costly mistakes and unnecessary headaches. At Recon Roofing & EGT Solar, we have the experience and expertise to get the job done right the first time!

Man, what a fun project in the hills beyond Lucky Peak. This project required precision detail and custom metal fabrication to meet our needs. F&B Steel helped make all of this possible! Material delivery was not an option so panels were custom made onsite. We found F&B Steel to be extremely prompt and professional throughout this project. Their attention to detail and genuine willingness to serve our community truly sets these guys apart. We look forward to working together again on another standing seam metal project coming up next week 👀🙏🏼

PSA - If a contractor is trying to sell a 50 year non-prorated warranty on a 30 year shingle system make sure to do your research. Ask their experience when a claim is filed and if the warranty sold was granted. Be a smart consumer, get multiple bids, and go with the contractor you trust most. If you have questions or need assistance, we are here to help. Just a call away 🤝

3 months. Multiple inspections. Full approval✅

Achieving full approval wasn’t easy — but it’s exactly why we do what we do.

The homeowner had legitimate wind damage, but getting the insurance company to fully recognize it took persistence, documentation, and knowing how to navigate the process the right way.

In the end, we got it done!

We replaced the roof with Owens Corning Duration Flex Class 4 impact-resistant shingles, giving the home a major upgrade in durability and longevity.

We also installed three new VELUX skylights, bringing in natural light while ensuring everything was flashed and sealed correctly. With 10yr leak free warranty.

Since this home sits in the Boise foothills (WUI IR1 zone), we went a step further and installed non-combustible vent mesh to meet wildfire interface requirements — something most contractors overlook.

This wasn’t just a roof replacement.
It was a full system upgrade, done right and brought up to code.

If your claim is getting pushed back, or you’re not sure where to start, we can help guide you through it.
