Star Services is looking for a motivated Lawn & Ornamental Technician. This is a full-time, year-round outdoor position requiring, practical experience in spraying, fertilization, IPM and Sales. Knowledge of plants, pests and diseases, is needed.
This position is to maintain our contractual obligations to the client through Insect & fertilization applications to Turf, Shrubs and Trees.
Job Function and Responsibilities:
• Applying fertilizers and pesticides to trees, shrubs and plant material according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions
• Responding on a timely basis to additional work orders.
• Maintaining vehicle and equipment cleanliness, safety, and general maintenance
Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Be able to identify South Florida Pest such as: Aphids, Scales, Chinch Bugs, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, leadership potential and an aptitude to learn and train others
• Able to work effectively in a team environment
• Able to communicate with customers plus sales of new services
• Able to complete paperwork accurately and timely
• Possess valid Driver License in the state of Florida
