Our scope includes structural analysis and permit-ready documents for a 210 SF garage extension, impact-rated window and door replacements, window mullion adjustments, and the conversion of a rear window into French doors.

From cleared lot to nearly complete 🏠✨
Engineering Solutions is excited to share a progress update on our residential project on Alhambra Place in West Palm Beach, FL!

We've been providing full structural engineering services for this brand new 9,600 SF custom home, and it's incredible to see how far it's come. What started as a cleared lot is now a home with all major structural components in place and nearing completion.

Our scope has included foundation design, exterior CMU walls, and prefabricated wood truss systems for both the floor and roof, all designed to meet the Florida Building Code 8th Edition (2023) and ASCE 7-22 standards. From coordinating with the architectural team and reviewing CAD files to producing complete permit-ready structural documents, our team has been with this project every step of the way.

Engineering Solutions is currently providing structural engineering and consulting services for the concrete restoration of the two 10-story office buildings at 2000 and 2090 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd in West Palm Beach, FL.

This project involves a thorough investigation and rehabilitation of the exterior balcony and window systems across both structures. Our scope includes an in-depth review of existing drawings and inspection reports, on-site assessment to evaluate existing conditions, and the development of detailed repair solutions using corrosion inhibitors to address concrete deterioration at building thresholds.

Project Spotlight: Porsche West Palm Beach Renovation 🚧🏎️

Engineering Solutions is excited to be part of the renovation at Porsche West Palm Beach, where our team is providing structural engineering services to support interior improvements, including the design of a new elevated mezzanine and connecting walkway within the existing showroom space.

The project began with a detailed feasibility study, including site visits, an in-depth review of existing documentation, and structural analysis comparing the proposed system to the building’s existing as-built conditions. From there, our team developed schematic design drawings outlining the required structural reinforcement and the addition of new structural members to safely support the proposed improvements.

Following the feasibility phase, Engineering Solutions advanced the project into Phase II structural construction documents, preparing permit-ready plans including structural notes, framing plans, foundation information, and detailed reinforcement and connection details. All work was designed in accordance with the Florida Building Code, 8th Edition (2023) to support safe construction and a successful renovation.

We’re proud to collaborate with the project team to help bring thoughtful improvements to this iconic automotive showroom while ensuring the structure performs safely and reliably for years to come.

Engineering Solutions is providing structural engineering services for The Nice Guy Miami restaurant project in Miami Beach, supporting the safe renovation of the building while preserving the existing façade. 🏗️🌴

For this project, our team developed a custom temporary shoring system that is currently supporting the existing CMU and concrete façade during the ongoing demolition and reconstruction of the building’s interior, roof, and foundation. Due to tight site constraints along the Lincoln Road pedestrian corridor, where construction activities are subject to strict access and working hour restrictions, the shoring system was carefully designed to minimize disruption while maintaining structural stability.

The design incorporates multiple shoring strategies, including wood kicker shoring, scaffold systems with metal bracing, and steel column façade shoring, to safely stabilize the structure throughout the construction process.

We provided an as-built structural assessment, permit-ready shoring drawings, structural calculations, and ongoing coordination with the construction team to help ensure the work proceeds safely and efficiently as the project advances. All designs were developed in accordance with the Florida Building Code 8th Edition (2023).

Engineering Solutions recently completed Structural and Electrical 50-Year Building Recertification for a condominium property in Fort Lauderdale, FL 🏢⚡️🔎

Our team performed a comprehensive structural conditions assessment, evaluating key building components such as roof framing, exterior walls, balconies, walkways, and the overall building envelope. Using drone technology, we conducted aerial evaluations of the building exterior and roofing systems to safely and efficiently identify any areas requiring closer inspection.

In addition to the structural evaluation, our engineers completed an electrical recertification assessment, including visual inspections of common electrical equipment and FLIR thermal imaging to identify potential hot spots and system deficiencies. The result was a detailed report outlining observations, required repairs, and recommendations to help the property maintain compliance with Broward County and Florida Building Code requirements.

Projects like this play an important role in helping condominium associations and property managers maintain safe, resilient buildings throughout South Florida. Residential Renovation Currently Under Construction in Coral Gables, FL 🏡🌴

Engineering Solutions is currently providing structural engineering support for the ongoing renovation and addition of a residential property in Coral Gables, Florida. Our team is serving as the Successor Structural Engineer & Special Inspector during construction, reviewing existing structural documents and implementing revisions as needed to remediate any conflicts within the previous engineer's construction documents while continuing to meet the structural performance requirements of the Florida Building Code (8th Edition – 2023) and navigating local Coral Gables requirements.

As the project progresses through construction, our engineers are actively involved in construction administration and technical oversight, coordinating with the contractor and project team to address field conditions and implement structural revisions. These include beam elevation adjustments, steel beam modifications, roof re-sloping details, permit-ready structural plan updates, and preparation of window pressure elevations to support compliant glazing design and permitting.

In addition, our team prepared, signed, and sealed permit drawings for a temporary construction fence, including a 25-foot chain-link fence with windscreen and access gate, as required by the city for the active construction site.

Through site visits, field coordination, and structural analysis, Engineering Solutions is helping guide the project through the construction phase while maintaining structural integrity, safety, and full code compliance. We’re excited to support the transformation of this Coral Gables residence as construction continues.
