What they don’t see is everything that happens before the finish coat goes down.

The difference between a cheap epoxy floor and a professional epoxy system is in the preparation, the materials and the attention to detail throughout the entire process.

A proper floor starts with proper concrete preparation. Grinding the surface correctly is one of the most important steps because it allows the coating to bond directly to the concrete. Without that, the system is already compromised before it even begins.

But this is where a long lasting epoxy system really begins.

Proper surface preparation is one of the most important parts of any pool deck coating project. Before applying quartz, epoxy or topcoats, the concrete needs to be mechanically ground to create the right surface profile and remove weak coatings, dirt and imperfections that can affect adhesion.

For this pool deck project, we started with diamond grinding to properly prepare the concrete before the coating system application. This step helps the new system bond correctly to the surface and creates a stronger, more durable finish built to handle South Florida weather, pool traffic and everyday use.

A lot of coating failures happen because of poor preparation. That’s why we focus heavily on the process, not only the final appearance.
