Last night I had the pleasure and privilege of paying tribute to the remarkable painter, sculptor, silversmith, and jewelry maker, Yaacov Heller, who received the NSAL Lifetime Achievement Award at a gala held at the Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club in Boca Raton.
This year the award has not simply been presented to an internationally acclaimed master of all the artistic fields mentioned above, but to a true humanitarian who selflessly gives of his time and energy promoting good causes.
I have been the recipient of many of his wonderful paintings and items of jewelry, but most precious of all is the friendship of this warm, kind, generous man and his beautiful wife, Sue. Congratulations Yaacov on your richly deserved award.
