🚨 URGENT: Fall armyworms have been confirmed in the South and can destroy a healthy lawn in as little as 24–72 hours. Check your lawn today.

These destructive pests are especially attracted to lush, tender turf and can quickly damage both warm-season and cool-season grasses. Here in South Carolina, they are commonly found feeding on Bermudagrass, Zoysiagrass, Centipedegrass, St. Augustinegrass, and Tall Fescue, with newly seeded, newly sodded, and recently fertilized lawns being especially vulnerable due to their tender new growth.

While healthy, established lawns can recover from minor feeding, large infestations can strip a lawn in just a matter of days if left untreated.

You can identify fall armyworms by the distinctive upside-down "Y" marking on their head and the alternating light and dark stripes running along their body.

Dry spells can really test a property's curb appeal. This year, our annual commercial maintenance contract for one of our HOA's in meant regular mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing for every common area—even as the drought led to skipped visits and special requests from residents.
