of the way. Ron and Patricia Strimpfel have been building in the South Carolina Lowcountry since the early 1980s. We are known for exemplary client relations, communication, comprehensive budget management as well as resourcefulness. Our Team has developed a broad based network of suppliers to suit all of your structural and design goals. In pursuit of environmental consciousness, we have developed an expertise in the sourcing as well as integration of a wide variety of reclaimed building materials, unique architectural enhancements and energy efficient products and appliances. Our goal is to provide our clients with a pleasant building experience, at a cost effective price. Ron is a master carpenter and builder with an extensive background and history in the construction business. Ron's days are spent on-site, with his talented team, building the structures that have given RBD its favorable reputation in the community. Pat oversees the day-to-day operations of the business and project management. Ron and Pat have developed an approach to the building experience that has impressed clients for decades. Reclamation By Design, LTD. is looking for a Trim Carpenter / Carpenter to join our crew in the Lowcountry.
We build custom homes and renovations throughout Bluffton, Hilton Head, and surrounding areas south of the Broad River. Most of our work is trim and finish carpentry, but we also do framing, siding, and general carpentry as part of our projects.
Position Details
• Full-time (approx. 40 hrs/week)
• Typical hours around 8–5 (give or take depending on the project)
• Starting at $18/hr+ based on experience
• Typical range $18–$35/hr
• 1099 position with potential to transition to W2
• 1 paid week off per year + Christmas bonus
Tools
• Large tools provided (chop saws, table saws, blades, etc.)
• Candidate should provide hand tools & battery tools
Requirements
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work on ladders
• Ability to lift/install doors, windows, and building materials
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Experience is preferred but not required. If you have general construction knowledge and want to learn, we’re open to training the right person.
We’re a small crew that takes pride in quality work. Around here it’s less about the hours on the clock and more about the work getting done.

As CEO of Reclamation By Design (RBD), Bo combines hands-on experience with strategic leadership to oversee the seamless ex*****on of custom home projects. Since joining the family business in 2012, Bo has worked his way up from an eager go-fer to a pivotal leadership role, gaining deep expertise in every phase of construction along the way. His journey has included roles as a trim carpenter, foundation supervisor, and schedule coordinator, giving him a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to bring each project to life.
Bo’s passion lies in problem-solving. “I love tackling the constant stream of challenges that arise,” he says. “No two are ever the same, and finding creative solutions is where I find joy in my day.” As CEO, Bo manages crews and supervises subcontractors, ensuring that every project meets RBD’s uncompromising standards. From breaking ground to final inspections, Bo’s leadership ensures that each custom home reflects the craftsmanship and attention to detail RBD is known for..
When he’s not on the job site or in the office, Bo is out enjoying the Lowcountry lifestyle. He loves boating on the May River, exploring sandbars, fishing, and sh*****ng. He also enjoys playing golf and softball, making the most of his downtime with friends and family.
Bo lives in Bluffton with his wife, Elizabeth, his son, Noah, and their dog, Nova.

From the custom barn doors to the glass garage bay that opens into an airy gathering space, every inch was created with purpose.

Built by Reclamation By Design, our goal was to make the new structure feel seamless and intentional, while creating something entirely its own.
