Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to follow directions and be safety conscious.
• Ability to complete labor-intensive work outdoors with exposure to a variety of weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
• Ability to navigate on uneven terrain, stand, walk, bend, crouch, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

Arbor Masters is looking for CDL Equipment Operators to join our Kansas City team. We provide excellent benefits that include paid vacation, medical and dental insurance, FSA, and 401K program with company match.

As an Equipment Operator you would be responsible for:
• Operating and maintaining tools and equipment including but not limited to chainsaws, claw trucks, buckets, stump grinders, whole-tree chippers, snowplows, and small loaders
• Supporting crew members by controlling lowering ropes and following safety protocols
• Loading chips into truck and backfilling the stump hole
• Inspecting all equipment before leaving the shop
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment
• Completing Basic Equipment Operator Training Course
• Properly setting up work zones utilizing cones and signs
• Utilizing safety PPE Requirements:
• A team player with a positive attitude!
• Must be at least 18 years old
• A valid driver’s license along with a Class A CDL or Class B CDL with Airbrake Endorsement
• Ability to provide routine maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Ability to follow directions and work independently
• Ability to complete labor-intensive outdoor work with exposure to a variety of weather conditions including wet and/or humid conditions and vibration, along with working near moving mechanical parts!
•Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Tree down in Leawood, KS. Arbor Masters is on the job!

Last night’s high winds caused extensive damage around the KC Metro area. Arbor Masters crews worked late last night to remove this tree that fell on a customer’s car during the storms.
With the daylight, customers are now out assessing the damage to their trees. It will be a busy day at Arbor Masters!

Field Day 2021 at Cedar Valley Forest

Shawnee and Blue Springs crews gathered at Cedar Valley Forest in De Soto, Kansas early this morning for our annual field day. During the course of the day, crews focused on EHAP (Electrical Hazards Awareness Program) training, which is vital to the tree care profession, aerial rescue training, a large tree removal using speed line tree rigging and the annual push up contest!
It was a great day to get together, train have a little fun and have some great BBQ!

It was Employee Appreciation Day at our Blue Springs office this morning. Our crews enjoyed delicious Chick-fil-a burritos this morning. It was a great way to start a chilly day before heading out to our customers jobs for the day.

Employee Appreciation Ice Cream Day!

A fun afternoon was had by Shawnee employees at our Employee Appreciation Ice Cream day on Friday the 23rd. Frosty Treats came out loaded with a wide variety of ice cream treats. The crews and office enjoyed a chance to get together, chat and relax after a long week and of course enjoy some delicious ice cream!
