'I'm a Logger and Bigfoot Terrorized Us' - BIGFOOT ENCOUNTER STORY

You want to know why a man who spent thirty years cutting trees won’t even walk past a park anymore? Why I sold my chainsaws, my rigging, every damn tool I owned, and took a janitor’s job sweeping concrete floors under flickering lights? Sit down. Because once I start, you won’t sleep easy tonight.

It began in the fall of ’22, deep in the Olympic Peninsula — a place most maps barely bother to name anymore. The woods there aren’t like the ones you see on postcards. They’re older, heavier, full of shadows that don’t move even when the wind does. I thought I knew every sound those forests could make. I was wrong.

There were four of us that season — Dave, our foreman, solid as the firs he cut; Mac, the old-timer who swore the trees could listen; the kid, too young to be scared of anything; and me — Frank, third generation logger, proud of the life I’d carved from bark and sawdust. The job was simple on paper: clear a forgotten stretch of land the company had rediscovered by satellite. Old growth, untouched for fifty years. Worth millions.

But when we got there… something was off. The forest didn’t sound right. The air hung thick, heavy, almost electric — like it was waiting. The deeper we went, the quieter it got, until even our engines seemed afraid to echo.

By the end of those two weeks, three men were gone.
And I learned something the hard way — some places in those woods were never meant to be disturbed.

That’s why I don’t go near trees anymore.

That’s why I don’t sleep anymore...
