Statement from MidSouth Residential Builders
We normally do not address customer disputes publicly. However, false information concerning our company is currently being circulated on social media, and we believe it is appropriate to correct the record.
A public post states that our company was paid $130,000 for this project. That is incorrect. MidSouth Residential Builders received approximately $65,000. We have documentation of the payments received.
There were also additional scopes of work discussed during the project, and certain materials and items were specifically being handled and purchased by the homeowners rather than being included in those additional scopes.
The length of this project also did not occur without circumstances outside our control. There were periods in which we were waiting on payment, including an extended delay, as well as occasions when we could not access the property. We have written communication from the homeowner acknowledging an instance when a key was not left for us.
Most importantly, we communicated our willingness to finish the remaining work and complete the punch-out. We have retained the written communications concerning this project.
We understand that disagreements can occur during construction projects, and every customer has the right to express dissatisfaction. However, there is a difference between expressing an opinion and publishing factual claims about a business that are inaccurate.
We will not engage in personal attacks or a social-media argument. We have preserved the contracts, payment records, project communications, photographs and other documentation concerning this matter and will address any false factual statements through the appropriate channels.
We appreciate everyone who has trusted MidSouth Residential Builders with their homes and projects. Our focus remains on serving our customers.
