Today is a day to recognize hard work, dedication, and the people who show up every day to get the job done.
We’re especially grateful for the firefighters, police officers, dispatchers, paramedics, and all the first responders who continued to serve their communities, even on holidays. We appreciate you today and every day.

Yesterday was a special day as we had the honor of presenting the proceeds from our 2026 Charity Golf Outing into Project Fire Buddies! ❤️🏌🏼‍♂️
Together with our amazing sponsors, golfers, donors, and everyone who helped make this year’s outing such a success, we are able to raise
$14,432!
This donation will help Project Fire Buddies continue bringing “More Good Days” to critically ill children and their families. That’s what it’s all about.

It is our honor to announce that the recipient of the 2026 Illinois Fire Chiefs Association Fire Chief of the Year is none other than our very own, Fire Chief Joe Falaschetti!

This recognition is a tremendous reflection of Chief Falaschetti’s dedication, hard work, leadership, and unwavering commitment to our Fire District, our members, and the community we serve.

Throughout his career, Chief Falaschetti has continued to push forward, pursue progress, and work tirelessly to make our Fire District better. His commitment to professional growth and his vision for the future have helped move our organization forward while never losing sight of the people who make it what it is.

Today was both an emotional and exciting day as the Bedford Park Fire Department came together to honor the late Fire Chief Robert Rubel with the dedication of a brand new fire engine in his memory.
Chief Rubel’s beautiful family joined the Bedford Park Fire Department for this very special ceremony, along with friends, retired firefighters, and current members of the department. It was a wonderful reflection of the impact Chief Rubel had on so many people throughout his career and within the fire service.
The Bedford Park Fire Department held a traditional wet-down ceremony, where family and friends had the honor of taking the hose and wetting down the new engine. This was followed by the push-in ceremony, a tradition that dates back generations in the fire service. Before modern fire apparatus and fire stations, firefighters would push their equipment back into the station after a call. That tradition continues today as a symbolic way of welcoming a new apparatus into the firehouse.
It was truly a beautiful and meaningful way for the Bedford Park Fire Department to honor Vhief Rubel’s legacy. His name will continue to be carried forward every time this engine response to a call and serves the community.
Rest easy, Chief. Your legacy lives on. ❤️‍🔥 🚒
