Looking back on an incredible project and the talented team behind the restoration of the Laurel Hill Cemetery Gatehouse!

This timeless project was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate historic preservation while breathing new life into an important piece of Philadelphia’s architectural heritage. We’re proud to share a few memorable moments, including recognition from the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Historic Preservation Awards Ceremony, and, of course, a look at the completed project.

It was an honor for WSA to be part of this outstanding team and contribute to preserving such a special piece of history for future generations. Projects like this are a powerful reminder of the importance of craftsmanship, collaboration, and protecting the places that tell our stories.

WSA is proud to share the recently completed University of Pennsylvania Dental Medicine Sedation Suite!

What was once a coffee shop has been transformed into a welcoming, modern sedation suite seamlessly connected to the existing Penn Dental space through a newly created wall opening. To accommodate the change in floor elevation, the project included an ADA-compliant ramp and stairway, complete with a sleek glass railing assembly.

The new space features dedicated pre-op and post-op rooms, complemented by barn-style doors and thoughtful design details that create a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Who knew a trip to the dentist could feel this welcoming? We’re proud of our team’s work in bringing this space to life and delivering a functional, thoughtfully designed environment for patients and staff!

WSA is proud to have started work on the new Welcome Center at Eastern State Penitentiary!

This exciting project will transform the former electrical building into a new visitor-focused space featuring ADA-accessible toilet rooms, while carefully preserving and incorporating the historic elements of the original building.

Perhaps most notably, this project will provide Eastern State Penitentiary’s first permanent public toilet rooms—an important addition for the thousands of visitors who experience this historic site each year.

In addition to the new toilet facilities, the Welcome Center will include a gathering space with a hydration station, along with new wayfinding elements to help visitors navigate and experience the site.

It’s a unique opportunity to blend modern accessibility and visitor needs with historic preservation, creating a space that respects the past while serving the future.

We’re excited to see this transformation take shape, with the new space expected to open in early 2027!

With the start of a new school year fast approaching, it’s a great time to look back on the construction of the Heart of the Campus Building at The Miquon School.

Designed to complement the character and mission of the school, the building features two classrooms, each with loft reading areas, along with a new library space on the lower level. Thoughtfully integrated into the existing campus, the building adds both functionality and beauty to the Miquon School community.

Wolfe Scott Associates, Inc. was honored to serve as Construction Manager on this project and to collaborate with the entire project team to bring this unique vision to life.

As students and faculty prepare to return for another school year, we’re proud to look back at a project that truly reflects the spirit of The Miquon School.

Demolition is wrapping up at the UPenn Towne Lab 116 project, and the transformation is officially underway. Opening up an existing space always gives a clear view of what’s possible as we move into layout.

Over the next few weeks, structural steel will be installed in preparation for the new mezzanine slab infill. Excited to see the next phase come together.

We’re thrilled to share the completed T House space powered by Quaker Fuel, delivered earlier this year. Designed as both a fueling station and a community hub for student-athletes, this refreshed interior offers a bright, welcoming environment of this space located on the north side of Franklin Field.

The fit-out captures the abundant natural light from the existing storefront windows, highlighting the new custom finishes and thoughtful details integrated throughout the space.

It was a pleasure to collaborate with the project team and help bring this vision to life.
